This is an introductory German language course in a legal context. The course is designed to introduce you to the conversational, reading and writing skills needed to communicate with German speaking legal professionals and to understand German legal materials. Vocabulary, conversation, readings and written work will be law-related. The program focuses on different legal forms, concentrating on German law. You learn how to read, to understand and formulate juridical phrases in German and will gain confidence in their usage of German in juristic matters. This course is held only in German. |

Students will consolidate and extend their knowledge of the German legal language. The course is primarily concerned with legal communication and negotiating skills. Students will be trained in formulation, grammar theory and practice, letter composition and listening comprehension. |
